Gregory Banks - Island County Prosecuting Attorney

For twelve years, you have entrusted me to be your prosecuting attorney. I am honored and humbled to serve you in this important and powerful office. I have balanced the important goals of vigorously prosecuting dangerous criminals and guaranteeing a justice system based on fairness and integrity.

My deputies and I have successfully prosecuted over 20,000 criminal cases. I have personally handled the most serious and complex cases, including successful jury trials of murder, rape, and robbery cases.

I have been a champion of open government and fair dealing with all people. As the county's lawyer, I tell other officials what they need to know, not what they want to hear. From my involvement in important county efforts, such as the chair of the Law and Justice Council, to my 2009 role as President of the Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys, I have led successful efforts to improve the justice system both at the State and local level.
